Have a naval battle in the two-player game Turning Tides. Each player has their own ship with crew, cards in their own color and three skulls. Each round you play a card, the cards are turned over at the same time. The hierarchy determines which card will be played first. These are cards to further equip your ship with new crew and cannons, attack your opponent or move the ship. ⚓
After the round, the ships continue sailing, you move the ships one zone further. When you've sailed all the way past each other, the ships turn 180 degrees and you battle again!
Win the game by destroying three areas from your opponent's ship. When you fire your cannon into an empty area, mark it with a skull. If there are three skulls on the ship, the ship is on its way to the seabed. Of course you can also make sure that your opponent's entire crew is knocked out. This is how you win Turning Tides! 🔥
❥ My Thoughts
I really like the fact that the playing field changes every round. This way you can predict what will happen when the ship starts sailing. It is also strategic, you only have a limited number of cards in the game. The game is easy to learn. I myself watched the instructional video that is online on YouTube, so I learned the game within 10 minutes. I'm always looking for games that are good to play with two players. Turning Tides is really for two players and in my opinion a very fun one. 20 minutes is also a great playing time!
